The last Sunday of every month is when you will find the Amherst NH Antique Auto Show on Route 122 in Amherst NH

Its a great way to spend the day, park and walk and browse and chat.

Stroll among the many antique autos, some completely refurbished and others in need of lots of help...

The action starts early...daybreak and the cars are lining up...so come early ...

It also winds down early...mid day actually...so if you make the trip make sure you arrive early to see as many antiques as you can.

Its the Amherst Antique Auto Show, they call if the FIELD OF DREAMS and it runs annually on the last Sunday of the month between April and October...

Bragdon Hill and  Bragdon Farm is part of a town owned conservation area that  belonged to the family of state Sen. Peter Bragdon, R-Milford, for four generations. The town of Amherst purchased the land in 1995.

Bragdon Hill is located on Route 101 heading towards Bedford. 

At one time,The Amherst/Bedford ski area operated at the former Bragdon Farm in Amherst, NH from 1936 in the early 1970's. The Bragdon Family operated the area. Several nearby schools trained at the hill, which also had night skiing. This was located across the road from the current sledding hill.

There is nice off road parking area with a tunnel that goes under Route 101 to access the sledding hill. The underground tunnel was originally built so the cows could access the field across from the farm without having to cross the road.

 Children and adults alike enjoy the large hill and you will see sleds, skis, snowboards, plastic sleds and inflatable tubes soaring down the hill and hear squeals of delight.

Christmas in Amherst village is truly a special event.  The Amherst NH homes are sparkling with their white lights and holiday decorations.   This is a busy time with many wonderful activities centered around the Village Green including Pony Rides, Concerts, Christmas Stories, Santa of course, even Chestnuts Roasting on An Open Fire, and the tree lighting ceremony.  This is celebrated this year Sunday December 14, 2008. Wear your mittens and hats, bring the family, stroll through Amherst and view many Antique NH homes and properties and have a wonderful time in Amherst Village!
